Nkana Stadium will this Afternoon host two games in the on going 2018 Mopani copper mine cosafa under-20 championship in kitwe as the semi-finals come alive. South Africa and Angola will go head to head in an early kick off at 13:00hrs.
The hosts, Zambia who are record 11 time Champions of the the tournament will then take on neighbors Zimbabwe in the battle of Zambezi at 15:00hrs for a spot in the final of the regional youth show piece.
With Coach Bwale at the helm, Young Chipolopolo have recorded two wins, one draw with five goals scored so far at the tournament.
Meanwhile they face a six time champion in Zimbabwe who share the same number of titles with South Africa and have something to bring to the table. The young Warriors salvaged maximum points against Lesotho and Botswana respectively before being humiliated by Angola in a match that had no bearing on their fate in the tournament.
Zambia will be without England based striker Mwiya Malumo who sustained a stretched medial collateral ligament.
Under-20 Team Doctor James Nyimbili confirmed the development yesterday.
“Mwiya Malumo sustained a ligament problem on his left knee but the rest of the players are ready for the Zimbabwe,” he said.
With two clean sheets and one gaol allowed young Chipolopolo finished top in Group A with seven points same position as Zimbabwe in Group C though they had a point less.
