Zambia’s CAF Champions League envoy Zanaco have arrived in Morocco ahead of this weekend’s Group D make or swim tie against Wydad.
The Zambian Champions arrived in Casablanca on Thursday morning.
Zanaco left the country on Tuesday and spent a day in Naurobi.
Wydad’s proud home record under severe scrutiny as they come up against a very strong, athletic Zanaco side who are extremely fast and dangerous on the break.
Defeats to Zanaco in Matchday 1 and to Al Ahly in Matchday 3 have left the Moroccan outfit desperate for a CAF Champions League win when they face Zambian visitors Zanaco on Saturday night.
Nothing less than three Group D points will suffice for the Moroccan outfit after defeats to Zanaco and Al Ahly. Having fallen 1-0 in Lusaka, Wydad were expected to repair the damage when they visited Al Ahly, but a dreadful performance on the night triggered a 2-0 loss.
A concern for Wydad Casablanca ahead of the showdown with Zanaco is the devastating form of Zanaco who are unbeaten so far this season against non-Zambian teams, conceding only once, that goal coming against Coton Sport, in a game which eventually finished 2-1 in favor of Zanaco.

Group D
Wydad Casablanca v Zanaco
Zanaco have not conceded away from home in any of the group games so far and will be looking to continue that ever-impressive run of form ahead of an intriguing clash at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
Saith Sakala, who bagged all 3 points in the away triumph over Coton Sport, and Democratic Republic of Congo-born Mpiana are the likeliest scorers for the visitors.
And assuming Zanaco coach Mumamba Numba has watched highlights of Wydad beating Al Ahly in Morocco, he will warn his team not to give the Arabs a clear sight of goal.

This will be a very tricky game for ZANACO, wish this last game was played in Zambia. Al ahly will definitely beat COTON SPORT.
