Kalusha: Lwandamina will continue as coach
GEORGE Lwandamina will continue as coach of the national team for a long time because he deserves his chance,” says Kalusha Bwalya.
Bwalya, who is Football Association of Zambia president, said in an interview that Lwandamina had made remarkable improvements to the team since he took over as Chipolopolo mentor henceforth would be given a long-term contract.
He said FAZ was happy with Lwandamina and he enjoyed the full support of everyone.
“I am happy for George, FAZ is happy with him at the front. He has matured and getting better all the time. Ever since he took over, you can see a remarkable improvement with each game; he enjoys the fullest confidence of everyone. George will continue as coach of the national team for a long time. He deserves his chance, that’s why I am saying don’t worry,” said Kalusha.
Lwandamina was appointed as caretaker coach of the national team during the team’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea Bissau in June last year.
He replaced Honour Janza at the helm of the national team.
