Zesco United have taken over the leadership of the MTN/ FAZ super league after a One nil win over Kabwe Warriors earlier today at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
In-form striker Lazarous Kambole scored the only goal of the game in the 33rd minute to take Zesco’s point tally to 62, Two more than defending champions Sensational Zanaco who seat on second position.
With today’s strike Kambole has now netted five of Zesco United’s last nine goals.
Team ya Ziko was playing their third game without Serbian tactician Zlatko Krympotic, Tenant Chembo kept faith in the team that beat City of Lusaka four goals to one over the weekend.
Zanaco have a chance to temporarily take charge again as they face a stubborn Kabwe Warriors wounded by today’s defeat which was their first in their last six games on saturday before Zesco United make a relatively long trip to Lusaka to face police sponsored out-fit Nkwazi on Sunday.
