Zamfoot team of the week : Lameck dethroned as player of the week

The MTN/FAZ Super League enters week 16 over the weekend but before we get down to business the Zamfoot crew brings their pick for the week 15 team of the week.

Young Wing wizard Lameck Banda is finally dethroned after winning the player of the week back to back.

Team of the week

GK- Nkwazi goal minder Makasa Kalaba makes his debut in the team of the week after a decent outing with the High Flying Nkwazi team that humbled National Assembly by three goals to one.

LCB- With only three defenders picked KYSA left back Nkandu earns his place in the team after a great outing despite his team conceding two goals and eventually losing to Zanaco.

RCB- Allan Kapila the Lumwana Radiants Captain was solid at center back and made vital blocks and inceptions to help Lumwana to a one all draw with Kitwe United.

CB- Marcel Kalonda The Zesco United defender of Congolese decent has kept improving week in week out and last weekend he did just enough to deny Nakambala access to the Zesco goal as they kept a clean sheet.

DF – Sitonya Fellon, In the absence of Jack Chirwa GBFC are not missing his services as Sitonya has taken up the role with great responsibility and maturity and against NAPSA Stars he put in a great performance earning his place in our team of the week.

LMF :Spencer Sautu The Green Eagles winger seems to be getting back to his devastating best and Forest Rangers had a tough time keeping up with him . Sautu was also on hand to score the only goal of the game.

CMF :Jeff Banda had a huge task of controlling the Nkwazi midfield in the absence of Sebastian Mwansa and containing the National Assembly midfield and he did a good job of it.

RMF : New Monze Swallows caused the biggest upset match day 15 beating Kabwe Warriors. The mastermind of that upset was Ray Mutale as he was involved in both goals.

LCF : Youremember Banda faced his former team NAPSA Stars and scored the only goal of the game to keep Green Buffaloes undefeated run going.

CF: Idris Ilunga Mbombo, The Nkana talisman netted twice as Nkana beat Red Arrows by three goals to one despite the game ending seconds before time.

RCF :Joseph Phiri The young Red Arrows striker scored twice in the second half to set up a nervy ending to their match against Nkana.

Coach of the week : Fewdays Musonda wins this week’s coach of the week despite being sent off his tactics were enough to shock Kabwe Warriors by two goals to one.

Player of the week: Idris Ilunga Mbombo, The Congolese talisman scored a brace and had a good game overall hence earns this week’s player of the week.

Special Mention: Lameck Banda, William Njobvu and Gideon Sichone also had good games over the weekend.
