Another interesting week for fans of the MTN/FAZ Super League as the week 17 fixtures came with alot of great actions both by players and teams.
The Zamfoot crew have once again picked their best eleven from the midweek games with alot of competition for positions making the selection process an even tougher one.
Team of the week
GK-Boyd Namayobe, The KYSA shot stopper was the fans favourite in Monze as he pulled off great saves to keep a clean sheet and help his team to a one nil win over a much improved New Monze Swallows.
LB -Lawrence Chungu, The Buildcon left back gave a good showing both defensively and going forward. The Former Power Dynamos man also chipped in with two goals from the penalty spot.
CB-Ziyo Tembo, The Zanaco Captain rarely made a mistake and contained former team mate Lottie Nyimbiri who was lively all game but could not find a way past the 33 YEAT old defender.
CB-Buchizya Mfune, The GBFC captain continues to impress week in week out and Wednesday was no different as he kept one of the most lethal strike force in the league, Kabwe warriors at bay.
RB-Chiyesu Sakufunya- The Lumwana Radiants right back came back from injury and made his first start this sreason and boy was he fantastic on the day helping keep Ted Arrows from scoring and in the end a clean sheet for Lumwana.
DMF- Fellon Sitonya – The GBFC defensive midfielder made sure he and Jack Chirwa dismantle the stable Warriors midfield . The two kept Clement Mundia and Co at bay as the Army side managed a vital away win at the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium.
RCM- Gerald Chisha – The Forest Rangers man had a field day and made Power Dynamos work for a point as he controlled the match for Forest Rangers. He also chipped in with a goal.
LCM – Spencer Sautu – The Green Eagles talented winger was all over National Assembly picking up from where he left off in the last two games.
LCF – Lazarous Kambole- It seems there is no stopping Zesco United talisman Lazarus Kambole or is there?. Kambole made his return from South Africa where he went on national duty and quickly got back to doing what he does best scoring and assisting to help Zesco United to a two nil win over stubborn Nkwazi.
CF-Tapson Kaseba – The Green Eagles striker took the week 18 fixture by the scruff of the neck netting three times as Eagles recorded a five goals to one win over National Assembly.
RCF-Idris Ilunga Mbombo- The current league top goalscorer netted a brace to help Nkana to a two nil win over Nchanga Rangers.
Player of the week – Tapson Kaseba The Green Eagles strikers three goals away at woodlands Stadium were enough to earn him this week’s Zamfoot player of the week.
Coach of the week – Chewe Mulenga masterminded KYSA’s one nil win away in Monze after the Fewdays Musonda coached out-fit beat Kabwe warriors before holding Buffaloes.
