The Eden University Women’s Super League entered week 2 of action over the weekend with some exciting games and brilliant performances from players.

The ZamFoot Crew is back with our picks for the players that influenced the games and impressed during week 2.

THE BEST XI

GK: Shanice Kolala (Luyando Foundation Girls) – The Luyando Foundation Girls goalkeeper was impressive between the sticks against ZANACO Ladies.

She made brilliant saves to make sure Luyando Foundation Girls did not concede. She kept clean.

LB: Catherine Hichoombolwa ( Luyando Foundation Girls) – The Young Luyando Foundation Girls graduate had a fantastic game and gave Mercy Mwenya a tough time.

She showed immense maturity for her age.

RB: Rudy Zulu ( Red Arrows Women)- She was solid at the back helping the Airwomen keep a clean sheet against National Assembly.

She also scored the winner for Red Arrows who managed back to back wins.

CB: Precious Nsama (Nkwazi Queens)- It was another solid performance from the Nkwazi Queens skipper.

She is proving to be a solid defender and one to look out for this season.

CB: Monica (Amazing Grace) – A solid performance from Monica and the Amazing Grace defensive line against Nkwazi Queens.

DMF: Blessings Maluba (Nchanga Rangers Queens) – Mapalo dusted herself off from the poor showing at Sunset Stadium against ZANACO Ladies.

She was in control of the midfield and scored the opener as the Charity Nthala coached side cruised to a 2-0 win.

CM:Ruth Chinyama (Trident Queens)- Arguably the player of the weekend as she came off the bench to change the trajectory of Trident Queens’ game against ZISD Women.

She scored a brace to help Trident Queens see off ZISD Women 3-1. Now that’s impact, our best player for the week.

CM: Natasha Nanyangwe (Green Buffaloes) – Natasha Nanyangwe was in her element as she scored a brace to help Green Buffaloes to a 2-1 win over Indeni Roses.

RW: Theresa Chewe (Green Eagles)- The forward on loan from Green Buffaloes had a good game against Kamfinsa Police Blue Eagles and scored the opener in the 2-0 win.

LW: Ngosa Chabwe ( Indeni Roses)- Despite Indeni Roses loss to Green Buffaloes, Ngosa Chabwe put in a good shift and even managed to get a goal.

CF: Tendai Sani (ZISD Women)- The Malawian international was again on target as she put ZISD Women in the lead before Trident Queens came back to me in the match 3-1.
