Chipolopolo striker Patson Daka says the Chipolopolo Boys will have to give everything when they take on in the early hours of Wednesday.
Daka expects a tough match against Argentina but says the players need to believe in themselves and give their best on the day.
“Everything has been well from the time that we arrived. I think everything has been going pretty well, and the training facilities are good,” Daka Said.
“Its going to be a tough game. We know they are the world champions, and we just have to give our very best. It’s football. We have to believe in ourselves and just make sure that whatever we do, we just do it with pride and make sure that we give everything at the end of the day,” he added.
Daka revealed that there is a lot of Competition in the Chipolopolo camp. He believes players have to work hard for places as the National team is not a personal to order arrangement.
“Training has been intense. Everyone is really working hard. Everyone is pushing and wants to start the game. We are pushing each other, and I think it’s great competition that’s in the team right now. I think it’s healthy. It’s what we need. It’s something that we just have to keep on because it’s helping each and every one of us to improve and to develop as a team,” he said.
“We know that we need each other, and the national team is not anyone’s home. You know, today we can be here tomorrow, but we cannot be there. So we just have to make sure that we utilize every opportunity that we have when we are here, and to make sure that it’s the best experience for each one of us because there are no guarantees here. So we just have to make sure we live in the moment and give the best that we can in order to maybe to have the opportunity to come back again.”
The Chipolopolo Boys will face World Champions, Argentina on Wednesday at 01:15 CAT at La Bombonera Stadium in Buenos Aires.
