Green Buffaloes assistant coach Christopher Katongo believes his team should have carried the day on Wednesday afternoon when they faced Sensational Zanaco in a brought forward week 13 MTN/FAZ Super League encounter.
Katongo rued the many chances missed by his strikers. He was however happy with how they assimilated the tactical approach.
“We could have carried three points never the less we created chances but my strikers could not utilize the chances but am happy with what they have done on the tactical side they understood what we wanted to do,” he said.
“The plan has now Shifted so we need to start planning and training to see how we can plan, we are targeting to play ABSA Cup to finish in top ABSA Cup that’s our target,” he added.
Chitiya Mususu put Zanaco in the lead in the 72nd minute, Finishing off a beautiful cut back from Zambia national team left-back Lawrence Chungu to make it 1-0. The lead was however short-lived as Paul Simpemba equalized a minute later following a defensive error to make sure the two sides shared the spoils.
Zanaco will be away to Napsa Stars Football Club on Saturday the 23rd of November for the Week 12 Fixture to be played at Woodlands Stadium while the soldiers host the magnificent People’s team Kabwe Warriors.
