Power Dynamos Head Coach, Osward Mutapa, says his team is highly motivated to secure a positive result in today’s Matchday 6 clash against Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League defending champions, Pyramids FC.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference yesterday, Mutapa acknowledged the challenge ahead but insisted his side has what it takes to deliver.
And first Vice-Captain, Salulani Phiri, echoed the coach’s sentiments, saying the team’s belief and confidence has grown since the two victories recorded in Uyo against Rivers United and in Ndola against RS Berkane.
“In the initial stages, we didn’t believe it was possible to perform better, but now we have seen that it is possible to fight for more gains. We have prepared adequately, and we are ready to fight for victory,” Phiri said.
Earlier, Pyramids FC Coach, Krunoslav Jurcic, said his side wants to end the group stage with a win, adding that Power Dynamos have shown they can play serious football.
Power Dynamos face Group A leaders Pyramids FC, who are currently sitting on 13 points. RS Berkane of Morocco and Power Dynamos are both on seven points.
This crucial and final Group A match will be played at 30 June Stadium in Cairo, Egypt, with kick-off set for 21:00 CAT.
It will be broadcast live on DSTV – SuperSport, Channel 227.
