Stylish Roan United have taken an early lead on the Division 1 North log after they beat fellow demoted side Konkola Mine Police 3 – 0 in Luanshya.
In Division 1 South, Prison Leopards and Kalomo Jetters will stay on top of the log after they both recorded 2 – 0 wins in the opening matches. However, Leopards will be the happier team having managed to pick maximum points away from home.
Kabwe Warriors also started life in Division 1 South on a good note with a vital win over perennial promotion contenders Kafue Celtic in Kafue.
Luena Buffaloes of Kaoma who also gave a good run for promotion last season were also victors on the opening day of the season.
