Power Dynamos Sign Nigerian Left-Back Evans Ogbonda on Permanent Deal

Zambian giants Power Dynamos have strengthened their squad with the permanent signing of Nigerian international Evans Ogbonda. The 26-year-old left-back joins the Kitwe-based club from Enugu Rangers in the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) on a two-year deal.

The club confirmed the acquisition on social media, describing Ogbonda as a key addition to their defensive ranks.

We are delighted to announce the signing of Nigeria international Evans Ogbonda on a permanent deal,” Power Dynamos stated.

Ogbonda becomes the second Nigerian-born player in the Power Dynamos squad this season, following the arrival of Samuel Ayodeji Bamidele last year. His experience in the NPFL is expected to bring added quality and depth to the team’s defensive options.

Chief Executive Officer Gibson Chaloba highlighted the strategic reasoning behind the signing: “The acquisition of Evans is intended to strengthen our squad and provide depth as we compete in domestic and continental competitions.”

Ogbonda’s arrival is seen as a statement of intent from Power Dynamos as they aim to defend their  MTN Super League crown and push to qualify for the quarter finals in the CAF Champions League.

The Nigerian defender is expected to integrate into the squad immediately and bolster the team’s backline ahead of upcoming fixtures.
