Police Doves eye maximum points against tricky Queens Academy

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Women’s Super League enters Week 11 of action tomorrow 19th May 2021 with 5 games expected to take place across the country.

In North-Western Province, Solwezi based side Police Dove Queens will host Queens Academy in an interesting match at Solwezi Technical Secondary School Ground in an early kick-off at 10:00hrs.

The ZamFoot Crew spoke to Doves Central Defender Melody Mulosa who expressed optimism ahead of the match against Queens Academy.

“The team is prepared and ready for the game against Queens Academy, we expect a very competitive match because Queens is not a small team,” Mulosa said.

Queens has been impressive in the league despite dropping some points but coming from a 2-0 win over much-fancied Nkwazi Queens could just be an added advantage in terms of confidence in the team camp, however, the strong towering central defender Mulosa feels they are not under pressure because they are focusing on collecting maximum points.

“Playing against Queens does not put us under pressure, all we are focusing on is maximum points.”

“I always believe in myself and my teammates too that we can do it and this always gives us the courage to work hard, so people should expect a great performance from me and the whole team at large,” she added.

This will be the first time The Fearless Queens and Queens of Kabwe will be meeting in the league and both technical benches are looking forward to this crunch encounter that will see the hosts playing for the first time in an early kick-off at 10:00hrs.
