Mangani, Emmanuel and Biston benched as Chambeshi names squad to face Ivory Coast

Zambia U23 national team coach Beston Chambeshi has relegated goalkeeper Mangani Banda to the bench giving a starting berth to South Africa based Bradley Mweene.

Mangani had a poor game against Nigeria a match the Bola na Lesa boys lost 3-1. Belgian based midfielder Emmanuel Banda has also dropped to the bench as Chambeshi decides to name two defensive midfielders with Kandela taking up Bamda’s place.

Upfront Nkana midfielder Harrison Chisala and Russian based winger Lameck Banda will start in place of injured Fashion Sakala and Biston Banda.

Enock Mwepu maintains his chief creator role with Patson Daka leading the front line. The back four remains unchanged.

Zambia starting line up against Ivory Coast:
Bradley Mweene- Prosper Chiluya, Shemmy Mayembe, Moses Nyondo, Solomon Sakala- Field Kandela, Ngosa Sunzu, Enock Mwepu- Harrison Chisala, Lameck Banda, Patson Daka.

Bench: Mangani Banda, Patrick Chooma, Benson Chali, Emmanuel Banda, Klings Kangwa, Edward Chilufya, Biston Banda.

  1. It’s too late for these changes I say so because Mangani has been fumbling for a long time and the coach is only noticing that he’s not good enough now. And if we win we should be hoping for the calculator to help us qualify. Very unfortunate
