Legendary Copperbelt based football club ‘Mighty’ Mufulira Wanderers has bounced back to the top flight after they beat ZNS Lwamfumu 1 – 0 in a week 29 fixture to go 10 points clear on top of the DIvision One Zone 3 log with two games to play.
Second placed Indeni handed the advantage to the legendary cup fighters when they drew 0 – 0 away against Ndola United.
Wanderers who are popular known as Maite have hold the record for most titles won in all competitions in the country at 49 honours won despite the club having spent most of the past decade in the lower leagues. The club with the second highest number of honours won are the newly crowned Barclays Cup holders Nkana who have 44 titles and hold the record number of league titles won.
They join Lusaka club Circuit City of Division 1 Zone 1 who have also already confirmed their promotion to the Super Division.
