Lusaka Dynamos move to fifth place after a win over Eagles…As Napsa record another draw

Lusaka Dynamos returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Green Eagles while NAPSA Stars woes seem to no be going anywhere any time soon as they played out to a goalless draw with fellow strugglers, Kitwe United.

Lusaka Dynamos welcomed Green Eagles at Nkoloma Stadium this afternoon in a rescheduled MTN/Super League encounter. The hosts settled quickly and were 1-0 up in the eighth minute after Tady Etekiama benefited from a Bornface Sunzu mistake and slotted home with ease.

After several chances for Lusaka Dynamos which went begging, Warren Kunda leveled matters in the 40th minute with a sweetly hit low free-kick to make sure the match went to the break level at 1-1.

With the match looking like it was headed for a draw, Zambia U-20 national team striker Derrick Bulaya headed in a Duncan Otieno flicked cross to win the match for Elite, 2-1 the match ended.

The goal was Bulaya’s first in Lusaka Dynamos’ colors since making his switch from Evans Kangwa owned Shamuel Academy.

The win takes Lusaka Dynamos to fifth place on the log table with 23 points while Green Eagles remain stuck in 9th and winless in the last two games.

At Garden Park in Kitwe, Mohamed Fathi and his men endured another frustrating afternoon as they failed to grab their chance to escape the relegation zone, playing out to a goalless draw with bottom-placed Kitwe United.

Tomorrow, Nkwazi will host Nkana in another rescheduled encounter.
