Zambia Under-17 coach has declared his boys ready for Wednesday’s mouthwatering CAF U17 African Cup of Nations Group B against South Africa.
The two regional rivals are set to go head to head for the third time in the past six months.
“It will be war. It won’t be easy but I know tomorrow the boys will fight,” Bakala said
“We need to score early and see how the game will go. But all in all tomorrow we will be fighting for a win.
The two sides are in desperate need of victory to keep their hopes of making it to the quarter finals alive having lost their opening matches in Algeria.
“We have controlled our mistakes in training. We will do much better against South Africa.
“The boys were under pressure to score and that’s why we missed a lot of chances in the second half.
Zambia beat the Amajimbos 1-0 in the group stage and by the same margin in the final of the regional Cosafa Cup in December.
“But coming to the game against South Africa, it will be a different ball game. We have told the boys not to be in hurry. A goal will come.
”You are going to see goals tomorrow. They (boys ) are ready and prepared for tomorrow,” roared Bakala, a former Chipolopolo midfielder.
“I think it will be a tough game. Beating a team twice will be very difficult and I think this time, they got nothing to lose.
“We have to keep our record. Looking at the game tomorrow, it will be 50-50. We have planned well and we are not going to use the same approach we used the last time we played them.
“After losing to Nigeria, they know what they are supposed to do.
I think that is going to help us tomorrow. Even us, we have to defend the two games we beat them. I don’t think we will be relaxed.
“It’s very important for us to score. Yesterday, we worked on those mistakes. The character of the boys has changed. The only thing remaining against Nigeria was just a goal.
“We are going to see a good game tomorrow and a lot of goals.
