Injuries ache Janza

Chipolopolo coach Honour Janza has bemoaned the serious injuries which have continued to rock his team at the on-going Africa Cup of Nations after he watched his leading striker Emmanuel Mayuka rushed straight to hospital after he injured himself as he attempted to convert a cross from Rainford Kalaba.

Janza stated that his camp was worried with the injuries creeping and he would even wish for a red card than an injury to any of his players.

“I am also asking myself why we are having such a situation where a player is getting a serious injury after every game,” Janza said.

“Of course in football you have to anticipate such situations, you can have injuries, different types of injuries, but it worries me when players are getting serious injuries like what is happening in our team because I need all the players.”

“You saw that Nathan Sinkala did not play because of injury, sometimes it’s better to have a red card than an injury. So it’s something worrying the camp,” Janza concluded.

Mayuka, the scorer of Zambia’s only goal in the game against Tunisia seemed seriously hurt but the ZamFoot Crew has not yet received a report on the extent of the injury to Emmanuel Mayuka.

The injury to Mayuka follows another serious injury sustained by Sinkala which has ruled him out of the tournament.

  5. Hmmmmm. ba janza. u stubbornly ignored idvice wen u were told that your team selection was poor, these r the results of bein ignorant

  6. Sinkala’s injury was a blessing in disguise, at least without him the midfield was very good. to me the boy is weak. that’s why he commits so many fouls.
May be, even the replacement of Mayuka might work to Zed’s advantage looking at the clear chances he missed in the game.Had it been Sate Sate the story would have been different.

  7. Mayuka over stretched himself coz of tiredness. Janza instead of making a substitutions was just watching the game! I now believe that we have a wrong man in the job. These new boys in the team will tire at some point and a coach who is able to read the game must make necessary changes immediately but this Janza was there standing like a mad person who does not know what is going on in his surroundings!
