Exclusive- Konkola Blades v Arrows match in jeopardy as players protest

The MTN Super League week 13 encounter between Konkola Blades and Red Arrows is in doubt after a standoff between Konkola Blades players and the management.

The ZamFoot Crew understands that the players have refused to train the last two days requesting payment of monies owed to them.

According to several sources close to the players the players decided against pitching up for training after only one month salaries were paid from the three months they are owed.

“They have only paid them for a month when they owe them (the players) for three months which does not make sense to the players,” the source said.

“The players have vowed not to show up for training until they are paid or at least common ground is reached between the two parties,” another source told the ZamFoot Crew.

Blades are expected to host Red Arrows tomorrow at Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe.

Sharp Razor are currently 9th on the MTN Super League log table with 16 points after 12 matches.
