Chipolopolo striker Edward Chilufya scored a goal and assisted another as Djurgadens IF beat Ostersunds in a quarter-final clash of the Svenska Cup.
Chilufya started upfront alongside Kalle Holmberg and Albion Ademi making up a deadly trio.
The 2017 U-20 AFCON winner set up the first goal just after 15 minutes, A sweeping ball from Magnus Eriksson reached Chilufya on the right-wing who then sent in a perfect ball to Holmberg who rushed to the far post to slot home, 1-0.
Seven minutes into the second half Chilufya was on target as he netted home Djurgadens third. Albion Ademi’s shot hit the post from the left side and the ball was met by a rushing Chilufya whose smart lobby nod sailed in over Aly Keita, 2-0.
Chilufya has now scored six goals in three matches for the Swedish side in the Svenska Cupen.
Second-half substitute, Nicklas Bärkroth sealed a well-deserved 3-0 in the 70th minute with a fine finish barely three minutes after his introduction.
Midfielder Emmanuel Banda came in to replace Curtis Edwards in the 73rd minute and played the remaining 17 minutes of the game for Djurgadens.
Djurgadens will face the winner between Hammarby and Trelleborg in the semifinals on Saturday, 20th March.
