Chipolopolo stars to get more dollars

IN A bid to motivate Chipolopolo players to qualify for the 2023 Ivory Coast Africa Cup of Nations finals, Government has decided to revise winning bonuses.

Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts Elvis Nkandu said in Lusaka yesterday that revised allowances will be able to match with what other players are getting across the continent.

Nkandu, however, could not disclose the amount of money the players will be paid.

He said it is a pity that foreign-based players are getting as little as US$3,500 (about K60,000) as winning allowance per match when other countries are paying close to US$15,000

  1. I think the Coaching staff also needs a raise what they are getting currently is shocking for National Team Coaches. However, I’m happy to hear an increment for the players. I feel we have a good team after a long time though they still have to blend and understand each other better. This team can achieve more with the support of the Government.
We may be on to something special with this team.
