Zesco United this evening take in Horoya AC of Guinea the CAF Champions League first round second leg to be played in Conakry, Guinea.
The Zambian champions arrived in Guinea on Friday without head coach George Lwandamina who remained in Ndola to drill the national team.
Assistant Tenant Chembo takes charge in the dug-out.
Zesco carry a comfortable 4 – 1 lead into the second leg after overwhelming the West African with some sleaky football which saw Idriss Mbombo, Jesse Were, Clatous Chama and Maybin Mwaba score.
Horoya however have turned their home ground into a fortress and will be a difficulty opponent to play as they have only lost once at home in the last 12 months having played 17 games in all competitions.
Zesco are generally poor travelers having onli won once in the last 5 games in the competition but they seemed to have turned the corner this year as they were 1 – 0 victors away against Al Ghazal in South Sudan in the preliminary round.
Zesco do not necessary have to win the match to progress in the competition but they have enough ammunition in their bag to win and to ultimately reach the group stages this season.
Chembo is expected to name an unchanged XI for the game.
The game kicks off at 1900hrs CAT.
Zesco probable XI
Jacob Banda – Simon Silwimba, Ben Adama Bahn, Dauti Musekwa, David Owino, Anthony Agay, Clatous Chama, Misheck Chaila, Idriss Mbombo, Jesse Were, John Chnganduh
As a KWFC Supporter I wish you well. Especially if you can weather the psychological warfare to be waged against you outside and on the pitch, then we shall celebrate. ZESCOLO Team ya Ziko, Lets do it for Mother Zambia.

Second half is about to begin and Zega trail by 2 goals to nil with a man down…As things stand should Horoya score a third in the second half then its curtains closed for Zesco

CAF Champs League: Horoya 2-0 Zesco Utd. ( Agg: 3-4) Thin thread for the Zambian Champions. (2nd Half)
The seconddol was also a penalty for your information…the ref is suspect

The ref sure is suspect….3 corners to horoya in quick succession
please keep on updating us. how many minutes are remaining and how is zesco playing?
5 mins left to play….still Zega down by 2 goals….Jacob banda momentarily injured but I think he’s buying time
Sorry typo error…meant to say 25 min left to p!ay
Are they attacking or just defending?
we are shevering here! lets hope they not score a third goal’ wishing zesco all the best!
Zega pse hung on !!
Zesco are under a lot of pressure….Tenant chembo is trying to steady the ship and give the team some potence going forward….Mwape Mwelwa and Jackson Mwanza have both come in during the second half but still the pressure is in Zegas half
I hear the ref is also against Zesco. Thats the problem of playing in Africa especially west and north africa. Those guys are very cruel. You don’t only play against the home teams and their supporters, but also the ref. Thats African football for you.
10 minutes to go. Still 2-0!!!
all the best to zesco! nayo time sisila fast yaba!!
Less than 3 mins of normal time left to play…with this ref its anyone’s guess how many more mins he shall add on
…Looks like they gave him a brown envelop. 2 goals scored from the spot, a red card and corner kicks flowing against sums up everything.
And as stated the biased ref just added 6 mins injury time….unbelievable scenes here in Conakry
Zesco is under severe pressure. It wave after wave of attack for Horoya. It’s either corner or free kick to Horoya. Zesco almost there now.
is the game over or its still on?
its a tough game more especially when u are down with 10 men & playing against the referee.
The referee has been paid by the home side. No doubt about it.
6 mins are up and we are still playing smh…sheer nonsense from this ref
The 6 min added time is over but the game is still playing. Just imagine this useless referee.
Please tell us the match is over ,this ref may award a third penalty just to close the deal.
Viva Zesco, our boys from Zambia. Shalom
6 minutes ? mmm!! come on zesco we can stil do it, wishing u guyz all the best!
9 minutes has been played and game is still going on.
Zambian reps has done us proud today. It is well and Shalom
Thats it. Finally. Well done Zesco. Congrats!!!! Game over.
stupid referee why he is not blowing the final whistle?
Phew! What a sigh of relief. Some of these refs are useless, adding time in already added time…yucks!
Zambia must protest. What a shame. Shalom
Horoya Fc are going to demand half of the contents in that brown envelop.
Indeed Zesco must lodge in a complaint with CAF.
aaa west africans nonono. they should start their own CAF. mwwwww
congrats boyz for yo hard working it was a tough game shame to the ref.
ZESCO watch out in the next game
Mmmmmm. I think we are are too negative at times. Yes ,signalled referee’s optional time was six minutes but it does not mean that only six minutes will be played. It actually implies that the minimum referee’s optional time to be played is six minutes.
Are you Guinean?
Conakry a very difficult place to win good zesco won by large margin at home
