Amajita thump Zambia U20 in exit match

The Zambia U20 national team bowed out of the Senegal 2015 Africa Youth Championship on a humiliating note when they were bashed 5 – 2 by South Africa in the closing game of the group stage.

Tryaone Sundowns helped himself to a hattrick against a poor Zambia while Dumisani Zuma scored a brace in a game which was just a formality.

Zambia where helped to the first goal of the match after Seriba turned a Peter Mulenga cross from the right into his own goal while Zambia’s second was scored by Charles Zulu after reacted first to a rebound in the referee’s optional time.

Zambia started slow and struggled to come into the game early and went behind in the 23rd minute after some beautiful interchanges in the box which saw Alex Mwamba beaten clean for Zuma to shoot past Mangani Banda in goal.

Zambia however came into the game more as the game wore on and were back on level terms in no time and finished the half stronger.

However, Zambia seemed to lose grip on the game after some substitutions which saw defence kingpin Kayawe Kapota substituted in the 34th minute after an injury for Simon Tembo.

Zambia made another change which saw Kelvin Chinyama come in for Benson Sakala soon after the restart as coach Hector Chilombo tried to give chance to his fringe players.

South Africa however looked solid all round and were also aided by failure by Zambian strikers to take chances to shoot at goal.

The young Zambian team is expected back home tomorrow after a dismal outting where they recorded losses in all the three games played in the group stage.

  1. Hahaha you got bashed by a team that is younger and lest experienced by 5 goals!hahaha!! ZAMBIA the Giant of djibouti, entrea, lesotho and madagascar.

  2. Zambia should fire all coaches . local are not technically good . tenant chilumba is one of the coaches who is useless .

  3. End of match 5-2.
Before the commencement of the tournament many zambians were very optimistic. Bash and lambasted Ghanians and Nigerians of age cheating, bragged about your team of defeating all teams in your group.
Now fast-forward to 15/03/2015. Zambia team conceded a whooping 8 goals thanks to their neighbours 5 goals.
You guys have finally realize the level of competition in age grade football. If you like bring ancestors of old, those hungry U-17 and U-20 players will defeat them.
Enyimba sef was not spared by those wicked flying eagle players. They munch them.
    Ancestors can’t win games.

  4. As usual, their syndrome of CONCENTRATING ON GHANA whiles other team takes adv to BASH AND ANNIHIALTE THEM!

Anytime, they comes into a touranmemt, all their concentration ll be on Ghana and if u compare how they play against Ghana, u ll understand me better!!

Unless, they stop this obsession with Ghana and take all nations seriously, there ll always be bash!

    • They were tired after the Ghana loss. All their energy was expended on the Ghana game & since they are old, could not match the young Amajitas. Age cheating backfires.

  5. Congo lifted 5 senior players that played in Afcon this year into their U-20 team, they came with an Italian coach and a french guy too. They crashed out with just 1 disappointing point after 3 games.

  6. I told you friends to have this coach go. Bring in Fordson Kabole or Patrick Phiri. Let the U17 with their coach in and be put in camp monthly. They have what it takes to form a winning team. Maintain the team and nurture them. We need two psychologists and maybe two motivators, two physical therapists and money (incentive) to groom the boys. If this is not done, forget about our being competitive for a long time. Players need to have talent but must also use their head. The team was as raw as their coach devoid of thinking when on the ball. Sorry goodbye U20 for good.

  7. How many countries in Africa can zambia beat if zambians were to be realistic?…perhaps lesotho, madagascar, entrea, malawi, mozambique, namibia,Angola,Djibouti, chad, swaziland, botswana and to be honest i cant think of any other, maybe somebody could add to my list!!!

  8. This is total madness at its best, in 2013 Zambia the defending Champions were eliminated in the first round with no win only draws and we where very proud and comforting ourselves that we have not lost a match, Shame on FAZ! we where given 3 free points and we failed to qualify to the world cup but we cried foul on Ghana making us train on a car park , Shame on Kalu! 2015 we where eliminated in the first round with no win only a draws and lose shame on FAZ and Kalu! under 17 where shown early exit with no win and now its 20 with no win no draw ! FAZ executive must resign on moral grounds! The CAF representative teams Power humbled with 4-0 by a west african team, shame on the coach. Zesco draw 1-1 they need no rush on goal because we will be embarrassed if we are not careful . Zambian football has really gone down. Kalu is the cause

  9. Truly you are jokers…and we de spectators are enjoying every bit of the show…next on the programme line up is the comedy of the U23 bullets…please make it equally entertaining like you always do…and congrats to ma boys for making the Naija encounter happen so fast…we gonna listen to what they have to say….hmmm I hope Badosqi will remain here on Wednesday evening cos imma be here win / loose

      • Have u ever post anything on those sites? Shameless individual. You are the reason the Ghanaians & Nigerians have flooded this site. You reap what you sow. Have a meeting with your dear friend Mumbi and quit Zamfoot if it is flooded by the West Africans. Good Luck.

  10. we are not good at all levels. We have to face reality, this is too much to watch. CHIPOLOPOLO,U20,U17 and Shipolopolo all were knocked out in the first round.what is our biggest problem ? I think we should change administration.

  11. Gh Boi trust me, Badosqi will be here gidigba. You know why? Bcos my boys are winning that match.
But I am not going to run even if something funny should happen (you know what I mean).

  12. We are out of the fake U20 tournament, so it is a blessing in a disguise way.Kalu and his followers will have to be shown the exit door. Kalu will have no excuses why he should not resign or kicked out!!
We need serious leaders in the FAZ office who will select coaches based on their credentials .Kalu your time is over now you better start packing now.

  13. Aww…that’s soo cute…to see Stephen livin in denial…never did I know that I will see that day…u guys made it fake wen u brought in grand pa’s…hu just came to disgrace themselves and your entire nation…that ain’t no blessin that’s a typical Zambian disgrace…or should I say concert?

    • These things do happen in soccer and life as well. We are going to regroup and and come back to send some of your highly cerebrated black star players into early retirement whenever we meet. Have you already forgotten the likes of Gyan,Ayews brothers and others from your team who went into hibernation?

      • We have sent THE WHOLE NATION INTO CONFUSION, not individuals. We are World Cup bound again & ZAMBIA has been disgraced by their “masters” before packing home (what they do best). No World Cup aspirations proving that 2012 was a fluke.

        • There is no any confusion in the Nation. There is confusion in the FAZ office. Our players are calm and strategizing what to do for the next assignments. They do not make decisions based on their emotions like some of yours did. Just look at your Andre how he was shading tears like a baby.

  14. Zambian football has hit its lowest bottom. The earlier we admitted that we are in deep problems the better. Zambian clubs just like the respective national teams (U17, U20 & senior team) are all useless. The Zambian league is weak and useless. Watching these games on TV, thanks to SS9, is like watching an amateur league.

  15. Zambians are jokers. Period.
You field an eastern province select side and you say it’s Zambia U20. Just look at those names of U20 players, all eastern, if not Malawi. That was a Malawi U20 playing. Very useless team to say the least. Only Sautu and Chinyama and 1 other players are non-nguni speaking players.
I can only blame Galu (Kalusha) and his fellow corrupt selectors. You’ve paid a heavy price for your uselessness. Just as well they been knocked out. Is this the team who can play against teams like Argentina, Brazil, Spain or Germany? Don’t overhype your mediocre midget players. They are all useless just like the Zambian league and it’s useless clubs.

    • @Sokafan you are the most useless analyst i have seen on this site your tribalistic comments cannot go without being clarified. Kalusha is a Bemba, i believe even Hector Chilombo the coach so on what basis can these two people be biased in chosing players from Eastern Province? The senior National team at the moment is dominated by players from the North, their performance is not up to scratch, on what basis do you attack these innocent players? The team has just lost so no tribalistic excuses can be entertained or accepted here, bring constructive critism not just dreaming and typing your halusinations here. Fact is the team did not prepare well enough for this tourney. Remember this is the same team that wired every Southern African team, including SA, that came its way without mercy, question is where has all that zeal gone? Something somewhere went wrong and FAZ and the technical bench need to seriously look into that.

      • @ Brave Nchanga Rangers it is pointless to even respond to such a person. Trying to correct him will only drag you down down down to his level. Just leave him there at his extreme low levels.

        • As for you, don’t even get involved P.I.G. You think you are at high level, which level idiot? Thats why Wets Africans laugh at you because of your stupidity. Moron!

  16. I mentioned it was not going to be a walk in the park and it turned out even worse than that. Conceding 8 goals in three games is a sign that the whole team has issues from coaching tactics to players to organisation. Wonder what the FA boss Kalu’s comments will be on this extreme dismal showing. Let me take a wild guess “No one is to blame these things happen in football” or “There is a big a problem of using over age players in these tournaments”. Always excuses.

      • Kwena iwe ulichipuba sana pointless in arguing with a fool like you. Your friends come here with real issues and not your tribalistic useless and uncalled for comments. If you are Ghanian we can understand but a Zambia? Which generation were you born, seems you are the born free who know nothing about where Zambia has come from to be where it is thats why you type senseless issues here. For your information from time immemorial Zambia National team has been dominated by Bembas and nobody has ever made an issue of it, now for the first time 8 players from Eastern province feature in a team at once you bring it up as a big issue? Your thinking my friend is way way backwards and foolishness at its best, no one in his/her right senses can ever support your reasoning.

    • I clearly remember Big Steve reminding bloggers not to overhype players before they prove themselves. It is good that they have been exposed and no one should sing praises for any untested player from now on.
May be this shameful dismissal will humble some untouchable, anointed FAZ officials like Kalu and his friends.

    • I recall you saying this aswell, but some people were telling you to keep quiet because we have to support our team and blah blah blah. We Zambians have become accustomed to expectation without preparation. This tournament failure and the failure of the U17 and senior teams came down to preparation. Everyone here is complaining, but at the end of the day it is preparation.

Am I the only one seeing this? You take teams to tournaments and play one friendly then you expect to honestly compete against a Ghana team (that is a favourite) and has camped for almost a month playing friendlies against European clubs and international friendlies against fellow qualifiers. Zambia will not be saved until someone starts doing some real work. The coaches are all been set up to fail, the administration and planning is being mismanaged. Its a shame, because Kalu and cohorts have done so much good…these guys in the Under 20 are true Under 20, why? because they are from the U16 team of the zone 6 tournament, and those kids had MRI scans completed so there is little doubt there. FAZ also had a development program that yielded fruit, when was the last time U17, U20, U17/20 women all qualified for International tournaments.

The failure has been at the last hurdle, and that is preparation. The coaches are not the problem. These guys are qualifying teams left and right, which means they are winning games, but you cant go into tournament the same way. There is something wrong at FAZ, but people don’t throw the baby out with the dirty bath water.

  17. Some people were even supporting Janza when he dropped senior players in preference to the “HOT” under 20 players like charles Zulu, patrick Ngoma!pathetic!

  18. pepo. this tribalistic sokafan is still bitter abt UPND losing. I think he will commit suicide becoz PF is taking the next elections come next year

    • To parade these old men as under 20s, what did u expect? Just look at the faces of these supposedly young boys. Just about two or three will be 19 or 20. The rest are all over 25. Why no MRI undertaken?would have sent the whole pack home. You shd be Happy you participated, at least.

  19. The entire FAZ executive has to go. KALUSHA BWALYA and his bunch of CRIMINALS should not continue to manage our football. Enough is enough! We can’t have a national team just selection from compounds in Lusaka. FAZ should cast their net wide!

    • I have missed your strong and straightTalk to the point opinion for a long time. Remember : a spade is not a big spoon. Share your ideas constantly, even if Mumbi & Paradox disagree.
      :

  20. @Ghana! You are a very irritating chap! Blogg on your site. I believe their are many sites in Ghana where u can blogg but all the time u are on our site why? We are not interested in your childish talk, grow up. If your Ghana is strong football wise do you have to tell us! I don’t give damn about your game, I care about what happens here. Know that it is primitivity to check on how your neighbour is leading his life all the time. You sound very insecure, go back home, we don’t need you.

    • You live in ancient times. This is a public forum & therefore no restricted access. Much the same way as we can mommdnv on world political issues irrespective of where they happen, we can do same on this site. This is a major problem with many African leaders whereby they suppress all dissenting views. Anita wants to do the same. I hope he/she never becomes a leader nowhere in Africa. Very narrow minded.

    • Same foolish mentality. Thus is a public site and not restricted to any particular group of people. Do u think we still live in caves? GROW UP & ADVISE ANITA TO DO SAME.

    • You said your sweet heart is from Cameroon . Do u want me to tell u “marry from your country OR better still “marry from your village”. No. The New World Order. Mr. Kafusha, change your mentality if u want to be part of the new world order. Your rantings put u 75 years behind time. Be current in your perspective. You look too young to have such archaic ideas.

  21. 2015 is a terrible year for Zambian football look at power dynamos ,zesco , and all Zambia nation teams , and kalu whom you blaming has achieved a lot winning the afcon the only faz boss to win afcon trophy

  22. Justice Lukanga, what have u learnt in Denmark? Any way , a critical look at your moustache indicates you are reasonably old enough to be making good judgements for the younger ones to emulate . Rather unfortunately u are not doing that. Please change your ways for the good of all of us .
