ABSA Cup final moved to a later date

The final of the 2022 ABSA Cup has been moved forward, The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has confirmed.

The final of the only Cup competition in the country was set for this Saturday but has since been moved to 30th April.

“The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) in conjunction with Absa Bank Zambia Limited wishes to inform all its stakeholders that the 2022 Absa Cup final between Red Arrows and Napsa Stars has been moved to April 30, 2022.”

FAZ General Secretary Adrian Kashala who confirmed the development to FAZ media says the venue for the match remains National Heroes Stadium.

“Following consultations with the sponsor and other stakeholders, we wish to notify members of the public that the much-anticipated Absa Cup final between Red Arrows and Napsa Stars has been pushed forward to April 30, 2022,” Kashala said.

“However, the venue remains National Heroes Stadium and all tickets already purchased remain valid.”

“We remain confident that the 2022 Absa Cup final will be the biggest ever. We are grateful for the support from all stakeholders thus far and can only look forward to an exciting final,” he added.

Tickets for the ABSA Cup final went on sale four days ago. They been pegged at K20 for East wing, K50 for North, South, and West wing while VIP has been pegged at K100.

FAZ/EDEN University National Division One side, NAPSA Stars will meet MTN Super League side Red Arrows in the showpiece finale on Saturday 30th April at National Heroes stadium.

The Pensioners saw off 2018 Champions in the semifinal while Arrows booked their slot in the final after beating Green Eagles 2-0.
