Zesco v Stade Malien match live on SS

Zesco United and Supersport have clinched an agreement that will see the Second leg of the second round of the CAF champions league game against Stade Malien televised.

Club General secretary Justin Mumba said that the two parties have reached an agreement that the match which will take place be live on TV.

The game will be played on Tuesday at 15:00 hours, we know its a full working day for soccer fans.We would have loved to have the game at 18 hours under flood lights but we a know the current power deficit the country is experiencing and Levy Mwanawasa is situated in an area that has a general power fault so we wouldn’t want to take a risk. In an event of an unforeseen Power-cut CAF will straight away ban and impose a heavy fine on the club.

Mumba called on fans who will manage to be at Levy to turn up in numbers to support Zesco.

Zesco United beat Stade Malien last week in Bamako 3-1 to increase the chances of qualifying to the CAF champions league group stage.

Zesco is in the last 16 and are eyeing the prestigious group stage in the competition where they last featured for the first time in 2009 when they became the first Zambian club to participate at that level.
