Zesco United open seven-point lead, Wins for Nkana, Buffaloes and Kabwe Warriors
Zesco United continued their fantastic start to the 2019/2020 Super League season as they handed Red Arrows their second defeat in as many games beating them 2-0
Kenyan striker Jesse Jackson Were scored a brace to take his goal tally to 10 goals for the season and guiding Zesco United to their ninth straight win. The win means Zesco United move to 27 points and they have opened a seven-point lead.
In Kitwe, Jimmy Beleck Ndhlovu returned to Arthur Davies Stadium to punish his former employers as he scored the only goal of the game to guide Kabwe Warriors to a 1-0 win bouncing back from the shock 3-1 defeat at the hands of Lumwana Radiants.
In Mazabuka, Nkana recorded their third straight win thanks to a Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba first-half strike to beat Nakambala Leopards 1-0.
In Mufulira, Ghanian striker Rahim Osumanu returned with the goals as he scored the only goal of the game to help 1-0 win over KYSA, Recording only their second win of the season.
Jack Chirwa was the hero of the day at Edwin Imboela Stadium as he scored a brace to help Green Buffaloes to 2-1 win over Buildcon.
In Solwezi, Nkwazi and Kansanshi Dynamos played out to a goalless draw on Dennis Makinka’s first game in charge following the firing Chris Kaunda on friday. Nkwazi has now gone seven games without a win.
Napsa Stars and Forest Rangers also played out to a goalless draw.
