Zesco United closing on Lameck Banda and Ndola side set to sign Zikuru Adams for free

Zambian Champions Zesco United are closing in the signing of Nkwazi winger Lameck Banda, the ZamFoot Crew can reveal.

And the ZamFoot Crew understands that the Ndola side will not pay any transfer fee for Ghanian striker Zikuru Adams of Nchanga Rangers.

It’s a major coup for Zesco United after they beat off competition from Zanaco for Banda.

Both clubs have been interested in signing the 17 year old after it became clear that Nkwazi were willing to sell.

Though he flopped during the Cosafa Under-20, the speedy winger who has been compared to Senegalese forward Saide Mane has been viewed as one of the best teenage sensation in the region.

The former Manzi Valley player is currently in camp with the Chipolopolo Boys.

Meanwhile, though it is an open secret that Zikuru will join Zesco United, the Ndola side is yet to announce the signing.

It is believed Zesco United and Zikuru have already agreed personal terms.

“Zesco United have been aware that Zikuru will be a free agent this month. And as you might be aware, why pay a transfer fee when they can wait and get him for free,” a ZamFoot Crew source said.

The Ghanian striker grabbed over 12 goals in the second of half of the season as Nchanga Rangers survived relegation.
