Zanaco coach Kelvin Kaindu is set to leave the club at the end of his current contract.
Kaindu’s contract is set to expire in December and the ZamFoot Crew sources at Sunset Stadium have indicated that he won’t be offered a new deal.
“Kaindu’s time at the club is done. The board have decided against renewing his contract,” a ZamFoot Crew said.
The Zanaco legend returned to the club at the start of last season and took over from Chris ‘Mr Takatiko’ Kaunda.
Kaunda, one of a few coaches with UEFA B, made his name in the all conquering Zanaco sides which included the likes of Numba Mumanga, Evans Chisulo, Nsofwa Chaswe, Dabwitso Nkhoma and Edward ‘Bubble’ Kangwa.
He then transitioned to coaching and landed his first big job with Zimbabwean side Platinum Stars.
In Zambia, he has also coached Power Dynamos, Buildcon and Nkana.
Last week the bankers announced the hiring of
former Nigeria assistant coach, Emmanuel Amuneke in a ‘consultancy role’
Amuneke, a former Zamalek and Barcelona winger and an ex-Nigeria international, led the Nigeria U-17 national team, Golden Eaglets to win the 2015 U-17 World Cup in Chile and broke a 39-year jinx by qualifying Tanzania for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Amuneke’s brace sunk Zambia to a 2-1 defeat in the 1994 African Cup of Nations.
I see zanaco winners now because they are doing whats it takes
Yes especially with the coming of Emmanuel amunike the bankers will do well in the remaining matches.
