Zambia U-15 eye third place
The Zambia U-15 national team will this afternoon return to action as they square off with Qatar in the third and fourth playoff of the Vlatko Markovic eight-team invitational tournament in Croatia.
The young Copper Bullets suffered a 2-1 loss in their last game on Friday and will be hoping to return to winning ways to and finish third in the overall ranking of the tournament after failing to reach the final.
Coach Chisi Mbewe has declared the team ready for the match. Emmanuel Kateka was given marching orders in the last match and will miss today’s game but Chisi believes he has quality replacements in his squad.
“The boys look focused and high spirits going into our last game, The boys are looking forward to it and want to finish on a good note. This is a very important game for us to finish third, Our plan was to be in the final but we could not make it but we think finishing third is good for us,” he said.
” It’s a big blow but we have other players who are equally good like Sekanji who had a good game after Kateka was given a red card,” he added.
Zambia will square off with Qatar at 12:30 for a chance to finish third in the second edition of the Vlatko Markovic eight-team invitational tournament
