Zambia U-15 back home… As FAZ and technical bench express satisfaction with the outing
The Zambia Under-15 National Team arrived back home this afternoon from Croatia where they took part in the eight-team “Zlatko Markovic” Invitational Tournament.
The team touched down at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka aboard an Ethiopian Airline Flight ET873 at 14:30hours.
The Boys were received by Football Association of Zambia officials led by General Secretary Adrian Kashala who expressed happiness with the Boys’ performance in the second edition of the Invitational tournament.
“We are happy that the Boys are back though it was a premature departure we would have loved to see them through up to the end. We are happy with the performance and how they applied themselves. We happy that they happy the boys are back home we hope to see the other two boys together with the doctor returning home soon,” he said.
“Its a welcome move and we happy and going forward we will do even better,” he added.
The team’s Head coach Chisi Mbewe is satisfied with the outing and wants to continue developing the players as he feels they are the future of Zambian football.
“It was was a good outing and am happy because the Boys had exposure which was a motivating factor for them. We really need to continue supporting these your boys they are the future of the national team,” he said.
“We have seen so many skills from these boys. They need to be nurtured so that when they grow up they don’t depart from what we teaching them,” he added.
Zambia’s came to a premature end after two players tested positive for COVID-19 hence the organizing committee deciding to cancel the third and fourth playoff against Qatar.
