Zambia 🇿🇲: Chipolopolo begin preps for Bafana friendly 

The Chipolopolo Boys regrouped in Lusaka to start preparing for this Saturday’s friendly match against South Africa. 

Chipolopolo coach Moses Sichone  took charge of  his first session at the University of Lusaka ( UNILUS) ground on Tuesday morning. 

The assemblage of locally based players were joined by Saudi Arabia based forward Fashion Sakala in training at UNILUS ground. 

Zambia and South Africa will lock horns on Saturday at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha. 

The match is part of coach Moses Sichone’s preparations for this year’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco at the end of the year. 

Coach Hugo Broos will also use this opportunity to fine his side ahead of the continental showpiece. 

The TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Morocco 2025 will take place between 21st December 2025 and 18th  January 2026. 

Zambia is in Group A alongside hosts Morocco, West African giants Mali, and Comoros. 

The 2012 AFCON winners returned to the tournament last year after an eight year absence but were booted out in the group stage. 

Meanwhile Bafana Bafana are in Group B and will face Egypt, Angola and Zimbabwe.
