Betway donates K65,000 to Yasa Queens
Lusaka-based Women’s team YASA Queens has received a boost ahead of the 2020/21 Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Women’s League as they received a donation of training equipment worth K65,000 from Betway.
The donation included a full kit, tracksuits, soccer boots amongst other things.
CAF 2012 African Cup of Nations winning captain Christopher Katongo, who is also Betway brand ambassador presented the cheque to Yasa Queens.
“On behalf of Betway, we want to re-affirm the company’s social responsibility as well as our commitment to women’s football,” the legendary Katongo said.
YASA was represented by the proprietor Bishop Flemings Mtonga and tExecutive Director Dan Chima.
Betway is one of Zambia’s leading betting companies which has extended its support to developing football in the country with different donations already made which is part of their Corporate Social Responsibility.
YASA Queens is amongst the 12 teams that have confirmed participation in the first-ever FAZ National Women’s League which will kick-off anytime from now.
