Former Zambia U-20 National Team striker Emmanuel Mwiinde opened his goalscoring account for his new side Masafi prior to the international break.

Mwiinde scored a goal for his side Masafi who succumbed to a 2-1 loss at the hands of Al Jazira Hamra in the President’s Cup.Ā

The former ZANACO, Nkana and Buildcon forward was making his debut for the club after joining them as a free agent after his contract at Club Hatta came to an end.

Mwiinde helped Hatta win promotion to the UAE Pro League, also known as the ADNOC Pro League

Masafi will be back in action tomorrow in the United Arab Emirates second tier league week 6 against Al Jazira Hamra at 14:55. The match will be live on FIFA+.

Before his move to the UAE, Mwiinde had a brief and unsuccessful stint with Young Zanaco in 2016. Subsequently, he joined Chindwin Centries and later Young Buffaloes, where he enjoyed a successful period, assisting them in eliminating Zanaco and senior Green Buffaloes to reach the final of the 2018 Barclays Cup.

Mwiindeā€™s talent was recognized when he became part of coach Charles Bwaleā€™s U20 squad for the 2018 COSAFA U20, where he contributed a goal for the Young Copper Bullets.

He then joined Israeli side Maccabi Petah Tikva in 2018 and played a crucial role in their league victory during the 2018/19 season, scoring eight goals in 16 games in the Israeli National Youth Division.

After a fruitful season in Israel, Mwiinde returned to Zambia, initially joining Buildcon for a season before moving to Nkana, where he reached the Group Stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
