Unfit Mayuka to miss Maite clash
Green Buffaloes will travel to the Copperbelt to play their last game of the season against relegation threatened Maite Mufulira Wanderers without striker Emmanuel Mayuka. Their opponents Mufulira Wanderers need a win to be guaranteed Super League football next season.
The new Buffaloes signing Mayuka made his debut when he came on in the 87th minute against Kabwe Warriors but the 2012 AFCON golden Boot winner has missed the last two games due to injury.
Others who are set to miss the encounter are Leonard Mulenga who picked up a nasty ankle injury in training, the Zambia U23 midfielder looked to have cemented his spot in the starting Xl ahead of Felloni Sitonya but the injury rules him out of this match. Mulenga is part of the U23 squad set to play Congo U23 in September.
Winger Joseph Yubia is another player in the treatment room due to a knee injury which has seen him miss most of the second round of the season. The former Nampundwe player is still recovering ahead of the schedule.
Lazarous Muchinga will need to pass late match fitness to ascertain whether he will play or not. The midfielder has a chnace to make the squad travelling to Shinde stadium.
