U-17WWCQs: Kaluba Kangwa names 34 member squad ahead of Cameroon clash

Zambia U-17 Women’s national team head coach Kaluba Kangwa has summoned 34 lasses for next month’s third round back-to-back 2022 India FIFA U-17 World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon.

Kangwa has maintained the bulk of the players who won the 2021 COSAFA U-17 Women’s Championship.

Skipper Lubasi Pumulo who has already received a number of call ups to the senior team leads the squad alongside strikers Jessy Zulu and Lucy Kajiya.

Pataaki Girls forward Blessings Zangose Zulu and Luyando Foundation Girls’ Tefeoga Munene are other key players who have made the squad.

Kaluba has also handed Pataaki Girls young forward Ruth Mwanza a call up to the team.

The Team enters camp today Sunday (27th March, 2022) ahead of a crunch tie with Cameroon next month with the first leg set during the weekend of 15-17 April while the return match will be between 30 April – 1st May, 2022.
