Forest Rangers forward Cephas Mulombwa says the Ndola based side are ready to bring the ABSA Cup title back to their base.
Mulombwa says the team is ready to fight for the coveted ABSA Cup title when they face FC MUZA in the final on Saturday.
Mulombwa who scored the winner in the semi-final against Power Dynamos is also eying a number of individual accolades.
“We are ready as a team to bring the trophy back to Ndola. Personally, I am working on a number of accolades, player of the match, top goalscorer and player of the tournament,” he said.
The former Kabwe Warriors player has called on the Fole Malembe fans to come in numbers and enjoy the game together with the players.
“Our fans come in numbers and enjoy the game. Support us the way you do, we enjoy together, This Cup is for Dola Hill stadium,” he said.
“Preparations are going well, everyone from the officials to the players are doing their part.
The Morale in camp is high and the boys are ready for the game,” he added.
In the semifinals, FC MUZA emerged victorious with a 1-0 win over Trident, a team from the North Western Province.
Forest Rangers, on the other hand, secured their spot in the final by defeating Power Dynamos, thanks to a late Cephas Mulombwa header.
The champions of this lucrative competition, with a prize pool of 4.4 million, will be awarded K700,000, while the runners-up will receive K350,000.
Additional accolades include the Coach of the Tournament, Player of the Tournament, and Man of the Match awards, each worth K25,000. Two new awards, the Top Goalscorer and Golden Glove, have been introduced, with the winners of each receiving K25,000.
The final will see the two teams face off at Woodlands Stadium at 15:00hrs on Saturday.
