Tanzania: Chama scores in Simba’s away win

Zambian forward Clatous Chota Chama scored in Simba’s 3-1 away victory over Tanzania Prisons in a Premier League match on Thursday.

Straight from qualifying to the CAF Champions League group stage after eliminating Power Dynamos, Simba returned to league action gunning for another win to maintain their 100% start to the new season.

Edwin Balua stunned Simba in the 12th minute after he gave Prisons a 1-0 lead.

Four minutes after the half hour mark, Chama equalised for Simba before skipper John Bocco made it 2-1 at the stroke of half time.

Steven Ntibazonkiza then sealed the victory for Simba with a late goal.

Striker Moses Phiri was a second half substitute.

Simba are currently top of the league with 12 points and still unbeaten.

Second placed Azam and Kennedy Musonda’s Young Africans are on 10 and 9 points respectively.

Tanzania Prisons are currently bottom with a point.
