Sunzu a doubt for Niger clash

Zambia may have to face Niger without defence pillar Stoppila Sunzu after the France based defender received news on the passing on his sister in Chililabombwe.

Sunzu did not train with the rest of the team today and national coach Honor Janza has stated that it will be up to the player to decide if he will fly with the team to Niamey Niger tomorrow.

The Zambia national team flys out tomorrow for the game against Niger where anything less than a win will compromise chances of qualifying to the 2015 Morocco Africa Cup of Nations.

  3. Can couch Janza tell his defenders to stop playing chidunune every time they have the ball. Let them pass the ball and build up nicely, the way we know Zambia, and not just clearing the ball. If that is what he learnt from Rena, that we wont go anywhere with long aimless balls. At least he has started dropping some of those old players who are bench warmers at their clubs but there are still some more who don’t deserve to be in that team. Good luck Zambia, cause that’s what we need at the moment.

  4. Firstly, my condolences to the Sunzu family. This can be a driving force for Sunzu or be something that affects him negatively, but overall I hope he makes a decision that will help him get through the pain of losing a loved one.

Guys, Zambias qualification seems to be really just fading away. We are about to miss out on Morrocco and it will be the same for the next world cup, because that will place in the lowest ranking possible which will in turn put us in an even tougher group than before.

  5. May the soul of the deceased lest in peace MHSRIP, Sunzu must just attend the funeral of the sister he will play the next game in ndola let’s see how we can do without him because he has been a pillar for some time now what off he was injured? So let him attend the funeral there are lot of games to come. Anyway its good Zamfoot is back, I for one was very boiled these lot of days that Zamfoot has been off air thanks Zamfoot

  6. Its good that Zamfoot is back I was very boiling no zed soccer news for a while, that was rely back anyway thanks that our site is back again big up zamfoot

  7. too bad for sunzu that is sad…. Now that zamfoot is back i want to find out what the zamfoot bloggers feel about caf awarding 3 consecutive afcons to ebola infested west africa. I was shocked to here that CAF does not want to rotate the tournament. I was even more shocked that Guinea a country busy fighting the ebola virus was awarded rights to host afcon 2023. This is clear corruption CAF has made some seriously immature decisions.

  8. Niger is one of the most difficult teams to play and beat at home and Zambia ll surely lose this one!

Niger, ll make a mince meat of this Zambia team coaches by a local guy who lacks proper understanding of the game!!

Niger has improved a lot and I can see them thrashing Zambia! They are hard to crack at home and they are very physical and just as any African home game, the ref ll surely get their back!!

When was the last time, zambia won an away game? Ages, i guess and Niger will surely not be any different!!

Niger, ll surely pick all the three points at home!!

  9. Hey gaddafi, Zambia knows what is needed against Niger and have more talented/experienced players. The reason why we fails to win away can partly be attributed to poor travel arrangements which has been solved now.
Niger was hammerd 3-1 recently by cape verd in Niamey, so they lose at home. The best result Niger can get against us is a draw which is actually the worst for us.

  10. I think we should leave the Africa Cup competition to West Africans so that they compete against themselves…they are so selfish!
