Singuluma scores twice in Mazembe win over rivals Vita

Given Singuluma scored twice on Sunday to help TP Mazembe to an all impportant 2 – 1 win against rivals AS Vita in the play-offs of the Congo DR league.

The Zambian international who has had a good year in front of goal was named in the starting line-up together with Nathan Sinkala while Kabaso Chongo and Jonas Sakuwaha started on the bench.

The 30 year old striker opened the scores in the 42nd minute when he shot from 5 meters after being played through by hard working Roger Assale.

AS Vita leveled matters in the 48th minute but Singuluma replied with his second goal of the day four minutes later.

He was however substituted in the 52nd minute after he was injured in the process of scoring the second goal.

Sinkala and Kabaso will now head to West Africa to join the Chipolopolo camp ahead of the game against Guinea Bissau on Saturday.

Chipolopolo skipper Rainford Kalaba who also plays for Mazembe was released earlier and will be available for selection today when Zambia play Gambia in an international friendly match.
