SIKOMBE TALKS HIS FIRST NATIONAL TEAM GOAL, MOTIVATION, AND READINESS FOR NATIONAL DUTY
Napsa Stars midfield ace Collins Sikombe says his first goal for the national team is a big motivation for his career going forward.
Sikombe scored the only goal of the game as the locally based Chipolopolo squad beat Malawi 1-0 in a friendly match at Nkoloma Stadium on March 12th.
“The fans and the coaches see what you are doing at the club because you can’t take yourself to the national team. I can this that was my first goal because at the COSAFA tournament last year in scoring during the post-match penalty shootouts. The goal has motivated me very much heading forward in mu career, ” He said.
Sikombe has been one of the stand-out performers in the 2019/2020 MTN/FAZ Super League season and is the Pensioners top goalscorer in the campaign with eight goals.
Sikombe is also part of coach Milutin ‘Mucho’ Sredojeviç squad for the CHAN tournament which has sadly been put on hold due to the current outbreak of the deadly CoronaVirus.
