Serbian coach Veselin Jelušić officially unveiled at City of Lusaka
Serbian football coach Veselin Jelušić has today officially been unveiled as the new head coach of FAZ/Eden University National Division One side, City of Lusaka.
Coach Vesko as he fondly referred to took charge of his first City of Lusaka training session this afternoon at the MTN Woodlands Stadium.
The former Angola and Botswana national team coach was appointed as Yamoto Head Coach last week. Jelušić will be assisted by George Kapembwa, who guided Yamoto to the Eden University National League.
The former Bloemfontein Celtic boss says it will be a pleasure for him to work with City of Lusaka and is excited about the ambitious project at City of Lusaka.
“It will be my great pleasure and honor to work with City of Lusaka and let me congratulate them for qualifying to the FAZ/Eden University National Division One,” he said.
“What attracted me most to come here is the ambitious project to invest and promote young players to help them reach high quality. To work with young players is the most creative part of being a coach and was the biggest motivation for me to come here,” he added.
The Serbian born coach will be the third European trainer to drill City of Lusaka Football Club after former Aston Villa and England national team striker John “Jackie” Sewell coached Yamoto in 1964, and Italian National, Roberto Landi.
