Sensational Patson gets praise but stays modest
Zambian Striker Patson Daka started his first game in a European Inter Club Competition on Thursday as Redbull Salzburg took on Belgian side Club Brugge in a the second leg of their UEFA Europa league round of 32 encounter.
The 2017 CAF young player of the year made the most of his chance and netted a brace to help Salzburg to a four nil win (5-2 on aggregate) to progress to the round of 16.

After his top notch performance his coach Marco Rose heaped praise on him saying he was Sensational.
“At half-time, I said that we should not drop the tempo. It was a terrific team performance, Patson was sensational,” Rose said.
Smiles all around.

The brace hero however was modest about his perfomance and gave credit to the trust and belief that’s in the team.
“The biggest motivation was to believe in ourselves, trusting each other and knowing we can do it because we have done it before . It was now or never we had to give it all our best,” he said.
The 2017 U20 AFCON winner and player of the tournament did not forget to highlight the importance of the 12th man. 24717 fans turned up on Thursday cheer the team at the 31895 capacity Redbull Arena Stadium.
” It was amazing, They gave us an extra edge and more morale to push knowing we had people supporting us who we did not want to disappoint. They had travelled miles to come and watch us,We don’t just play for ourselves but we also play for the fans and we know how much this means to them,” he said.
Daka scored a brace while Xavier Schlager and Moanes Dabbur scored a goal apiece as Salzburg cruised to a four nil win and 5-2 on aggregate to progress to the round of 16 of the UEFA Europa league.
The performance from the young Zambian forward has caught the eye of many fans and is now the talk of social media.
