Sate Sate joins U23 Camp; Lubambo on Tuesday

Striker Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba has joined the Zambia Under 23 side in Dakar, Senegal ahead of Saturday’s Under-23 opener against Tunisia.

The Egyptian based striker who will be moving to Belgium third tier side Lierse in January might will boast Zambia’s attack as they seek Olympics qualification.

With the former Nkana striker in, only Armenian based winger Lubambo is unavailable for the Tunisia match.

Lubambo will play for his club Gangsazar Kapan on Sunday and start off on Monday morning. He is scheduled to arrive on Tuesday afternoon and likely to start on the bench against regional rivals South Africa.

Zambia’s final group game will be against the host Senegal on Friday.

The other Group has two West and North Africans side. In the Group opener, Algeria will face Egypt while Mali and Nigeria will square it off in the other game.

Top two sides from each group will advance to the semi finals with the top three qualifying to the Rio Olympics.
