Rusike on his way out as Zanaco sign Kiala Lassa
Sensational Zanaco star midfielder Tafadzwa Rusike is on his way out of Zanaco the ZamFoot Crew understands. The former Ajax Cape Town midfielder is pushing for a move to league Champions, Zesco United.
ZamFoot Crew sources at Sunset Stadium have revealed that Zesco United wrote to Zanaco who have already responded with a transfer they want for the 30-year-old. The Bankers for a fee in the range of $40 000 and $50 000.
Zanaco has not even registered the creative midfielder for the CAF Confederation Cup as they anticipate the completion of the move away from Sunset Stadium.
Rusike joined Zanaco at the start of the 2018 season and has quickly established himself as a very key member of the Zanaco squad. In the just-ended transitional season, Rusike scored eight league goals and was a joint top goalscorer for the bankers.
In other news, the ZamFoot Crew can reveal that Kitwe United midfielder of Congolese origin Kiala Lassa has joined Zanaco.
Lassa was first in talks with Buildcon and later Zesco United but according to ZamFoot Crew sources, the deals in Ndola fell through due to disagreements on salaries and other bonuses.
Lassa was a key part of the relegated Kitwe United squad and scored three goals in the just ended Transitional league season. He becomes the ninth signing for Zanaco ahead of the new season which kicks off in August.
The other eight are Lawrence Chungu, Damiano Kola, Emmanuel Okutu, Belchance Makiesa, Kebson Kamanga, Tiberius Lombard, Mwansa Nsofwa and Ziyo Tembo.
