Zambia striker Rogers Kola has joined Israeli side Hapoel Ra’anana on a loan deal from his Belgian club KAA Gent.
Kola who spent last season in Greece where he played for Veria FC joins fellow Zambian Emmanuel Mbola and Fwayo Tembo at the club currently placed bottom after two rounds of games.
Ra’anana also Ngosa Sunzu (young brother to Stopilla Sunzu) in their ranks who is playing in their youth team.
The 27 year old striker played 18 games last season with only a goal to his name.
He has spent the past 6 years in Europe having spent for season in Israel where he played for Hapoel Rishon and Ashdod.
He then signed for Belgian side Gent who loaned him back to Israel where he spent two seasons at Ironi Kiryat.
He is a star of the famous U20 class of 2007 but has failed to hold a place in the Chipolopolo squad unlike his peers Jacob Banda, Emmanuel Mayuka and Stopilla Sunzu.
He last played for the Zambia national team in 2013 under Herve Renard.
18 games one goal, is he a defender. He failed in Europe just like the likes of sate sate. Its a shame.
I remember a time when some folk here on ZF would sing this boys praises like he is the greatest thing that happened to Zambian football. I wonder what they have to say now with such a poor return for a striker 1 in 18 games.
So even Fwayo Tembo is playing in Israel. @john must be very happy now.
Fwayo has just had his contract terminated in Israel for reasons of being overweight. He is now in South Africa training with Golden Arrows.
Fwayo is heavy weight
By now he’s back
Top player
if this is true about fwayo, then we need prayers for our players. We make one step foward, 10 steps back wards
