Red Arrows impress in Pre-season….Chepeshi named captain
Red Arrows football club has managed to record a 100% winning record in their pre-season tour of the Copperbelt.
The Airmen managed to beat Ndola United 2-0 with goals from Chrispin Sakulanda Jr and Hope Katwishi to maintain there Unbeaten run during the tour that has seen the Airmen play Nico Academy twice winning one game 4-0 and the other one ending in a goalless draw.
In the other friendly matches with Nchanga Rangers, one game ended 1-1 and another game 2-1 in favor of the Airmen.
Coach Chissy Mbewe is happy with the outing and has thanked his boys for coping up with the training program, adhering to camp rules as well as game tactics.
He added that what the boys had shown in training was what everybody expects when the league finally returns later this month. He said the camping was all about team bonding and working on goal scoring.
Benedict Chepeshi was named Red Arrows captain and will be Assisted by Kenny Mumba as his 1st Assistant, Allan Kapila will be 2nd with George Simbayambaya and Stanley Nshimbi as his 3rd and 4th assistants respectively.
Chepeshi who Joined Red Arrows in 2013 from Lusaka Youth said he is delighted to lead the Airmen saying he can only lead by the Lord’s guidance and Grace.
Three Red Arrows youth Graduates Jackson Mphande, Kombe Sabiwa, and Alick Phiri Jr have been listed for loan moves.
Coach Chissy Mbewe recently named a 34 man squad which includes new signs Chewe Mukuka, Prosper Chiluya, Joseph Lunga,Felix Bulaya, and Tresor Ilunga for the 2020/2021 MTN/FAZ Super League season
