Power Dynamos FC and Mufulira Wanderers FC fans over the weekend took the fan’s role in football to another level when they took to the pitch in a friendly match played at Arthur Davies stadium to raise awareness on various issues including non-violence and hooliganism by football fans.
Organised under the auspices of Power Dynamos Fans Forum (PDFC FF), which is the official Power Dynamos fan’s body, both teams were clad in their official replicas and played their match as a curtain raiser to the league match between their teams which ended in a 1 – 1 draw.
PDFC FF strongman, Phillip Mwansa in an interview with ZamFoot stated that PDFC FF were keen on setting trends on the fans role in football.
“We don’t want to be armchair critics but we want to take our position in ensuring that we play our role as fans. We are happy to have partnered with our colleagues from Mufulira Wanderers and we will keep you informed on our next project,” Mwansa stated.
Power Dynamos fans won the match 8-2.
This is such a good initiative. Well done to the fans of these clubs. Ello pali ama physique yabwali na mosi apa ka.
