Power Dynamos sack Tenant Chilumba

Copperbelt glamor side have sacked head coach Tenant Chilumba due to the team’s poor start to the season.

According to information received by the ZamFoot Crew, Chilumba was shown the door today together wit goalkeeping coach Martin Mwamba and physical traainer Changala.

Power Dynamos who are well sponsored have had turbulent times since they sacked Fordson Kabole who helped them win the league in 2011.

Chilumba joined Power in June 2013 after he quit Zimbabwean side FC Platinum but has failed to lead them to the title finishing a disappointing 3rd last season having managed a second place finish in 2014.

He leaves the team in 7th position having won 3 games and lost 3 out of the 7 played this season.

The Ndeke faithful who have called for his dismissal time and again will be satisfied with the decision by the executive committee and will be hoping for a high profile coach to take over.

Anderson Phiri will be in-charge of the team in the interim period.

Chilumba joins, Wilson Mwale (Napsa Stars), Simonda Kaunda (Forest Rangers) and Manfred Chabinga (Mufulira Wanderers) on the lost of coaches who have parted company with their empoyers since the start of the season due to poor results.

  6. Officials must not rush into sacking coaches but make a thorough audit of the team and themselves as officials.Sometimes poor results are due to poor administration. Some people think they can manage a football team just because they were champions in Darts (not to belittle the game),but Soccer is a differrent ball game all together.Whoever takes over will have problems as long as administration at power fc remains poor.I REST MY CASE AND CONTINUE WATCHING FROM THE TERRACES.

  7. T C is a good coach to manage teams like forest rangers, napsa , etc just to keep them in super league not to win the league he is too shay . Power is too big for t c he runs out of ideas when the team is down, to me I say well done power excective , but now who ?
