Patson Daka – The man for the big stage

When they say big games , they don’t come any better than Chipolopolo Boys’ final group F encounter against Morocco.

Zambia need to avoid defeat to secure qualification to the knockout stages while Morocco will be looking to seal qualification as group toppers hence they need an outright win.

In games like that, you need big game players and they do come any better than Patson Daka.

In the previous game when Zambia needed a goal to rescue a point, the Leicester City forward netted a thumping header to level matters three minutes to time.

The Chipolopolo international was also named as the official player of the match by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

During qualifiers, Daka netted five times to help Zambia end a three consecutive AFCON qualification failure.

The Kafue Celtic product will lead the attack as Avram Grant’s men try to get the better of the continent’s highest ranked side.

The 25 year old forward completed a remarkable feat after scoring against DR Congo after previously scoring at U17, U20 and U23 African Cup of Nations.

He will be looking to add to his 20 strikes that he has managed so far in 40 appearances for Zambia.

Daka continues to show up for Zambia everytime he is needed and this evening the team needs him more than ever before if the dream of progressing to the next round has to become reality.

The match kicks off at 22:00 hours (Zambian Time) and will be played simultaneously with the DR Congo versus Tanzania.
