Patson Daka out to continue his goal-scoring spree… Mwepu out to shine in LASk clash

The Zambian duo is expected to be in Redbull Salzburg starting line up this evening when the Austrian Bundesliga defending Champions host fourth-placed LASK Linz at the Redbull Arena.

Patson Daka has been on song for Salzburg scoring eight goals and assisting another goal for the Jesse Marsch coached side who sit comfortably at the top of the league table.

The 2017 CAF young player of the year has managed 25 goals in all competitions in just 26 starts and has eight assists to his name. In the league, he has started 15 games and managed 22 strikes. The 21-year-old looks set to extend his tally of goals this evening.

Daka became the first Zambian to score 20 league goals or more for a European club surpassing Mwape Miti’s 19 goals scored in the 2003/04 season for Danish side Odense Boldklub when he scored his second goal in the 6-0 bashing of TSV Hartberg.

His Compatriot Enock Mwepu has also been a key member for Jesse Marsch’s team putting in impressive shifts every time he takes to the field.

Austrian goalkeeper Cican Stankovic is expected to maintain his place between the sticks with Jerome Onguéné, Albert Vallci, Andreas Ulmer, and André Ramalho completing the back four.

In midfield, Mohammed Camara, Sekou Koita, the Computer, and Dominik Szoboszlai are likely to complete a midfield quartet. Patson Daka and Noah Okafor are expected to lead the attack.

Salzburg leads the log table with 33 points seven above LASK Linz. The match will kick off at 19:30.
